Try starting off in a round on street fighter badly, having to claw your way back bit by bit feeling like rounds are lasting forever because your hands are sweaty and the tension is high, in my opinion they are the best fights.
Used to go at a youth club as a kid, I was one of the younger ones, used to be bullied at home, on the streets and at school, yet street fighter on the SNES earned me a rep eventually. I used to see all those bullys play streetfighter so when I got the pad the first load of times ended badly, but plenty of arcade training would get me there, lots of 10p plays, It was like I was fighting my battles through games against them. Eventually I’d start winning all because my rage for them was coming through video games and we’d have crowds around watching us all fight, these bully’s eventually started loosing big time to me, so much in fact that they’d get joked about by some of the other elder kids. It didn’t really stop the bullying on the streets but damn did I feel like I had my vengeance when they used to hurt me and for me that was me getting my own back.
Street fighter always has and had a special place in my heart and for me the best fights in the game always took place side by side with the real fights in my real life.
