It’s a good and cheap alternative to a gaming PC once it’s released, but due to the static nature of a console, it won’t be considered highend tech after 3 years when compared to a PC with the latest tech. There will likely be a mid-life cycle console upgrade. Additionally, the Series X will never have all of the things only possible on PC like mods(model change, graphical upgrades, new stages, complete game overhaul spawning a totally new game, fixes devs were too lazy or to slow to do, and more), hundreds of exclusives from niche types of games, indie, RTS, sims, and so many more
A console making PC obsolete?? Never. Consoles will likely evolve into something different to a certain degree, but PC will always remain the same
