Mansory Cabrera is a Reworked but Polarizing Lamborghini Aventador

In particular, the front of the Cabrera conjures visions of the Lamborghini Diablo GT—the rectangular headlight apertures and the more squared-off gaping maw of the SVJ almost seem like an homage. Don’t get us wrong, though. The Diablo GT is one of the best looking cars ever made, and the Cabrera comes nowhere close in terms of sheer curb appeal.

Not only that, but the rest of the Cabrera sort of falls apart after you’re done looking at the front. It’s the Mansory status quo with carbon basically everywhere. The rear has a funky high-mounted quad exhaust setup we don’t really care for, and the wing is similar to the SVJ’s, but uglier.

Mansory says “all these aerodynamic improvements are necessary because the Mansory Cabrera clearly surpasses the performance values of the standard Aventador.” The company says the V-12 has been “completely rebuilt” and now makes 810 horsepower. The standard SVJ is already one of the fastest production cars to ever lap the famed Nürburgring, and already makes 730 hp. This reputedly has the effect of upping the top speed to 220 mph and clipping a few tenths from the 0-60 time, but we’ve already tested an SVJ that beat Mansory’s claimed 2.6 second time. With only three being built, we doubt we’ll be able to put a Cabrera through out testing procedures to see how it compares.

Inside is where the Cabrera really kills us, though. It’s been needlessly redone in swathes of carbon and leather—stuff the SVJ already had plenty of to begin with. But, that is the Mansory way, after all: Extra for extra’s sake. The front might Mansory’s best (or, maybe, least offensive) work in a long time, but the rest of the Cabrera lets it down.
