I consider myself an exception within the gaming world. As I got older I became less reactionary and more open to innovative and different games. Between acquaintances and the forums I frequent, the trend is clearly reversed. Perhaps the most emblematic case was with Final Fantasy VII. I argued all the time how much I would prefer Final Fantasy XVI, but if I went to Square to remake it, it would be a new game, not just a layer of graphic paint in the 1997 game. And I am very happy that she followed that route.
I really want to try indies, VR games and daring experiences. It bothers me a little to always see a new version of pokemon, Mario, Zelda, gran turismo, forza or Halo.
