I think you are wrong (maybe not, but I’m giving my arguments). It was a tech conference, yes (intended for knowledgeable audience) … but not exactly for developers. It was a specs reveal with plenty of time later – according to Mark – to talk about the games.
1) He said they talk to developers all the time (that’s on the opening of the conference) so, developers already know all this…
2) Developers have Developer kits, so they know the specs already.
3) A developer actually need to make their games work with the Hardware so they have a deep understanding of the hardware… What I mean is, the kind of things Mark was talking about were complex, and in depth but not THAT in depth.
4) You could argue that maybe it was meant for indies… But it was a livestream on the official playstation blog, so general audience (like me) had access to it. idk.
