He is kind of creepy. I hope if Bunny Day is a tradition that is continued next year, some changes will be made to balance it out. I haven’t really had an issue with eggs displacing other resources…except the fish. There are still four fossils among the eggs in the ground of my island, and I’ve still been able to gather plenty of wood. But, maybe Nintendo can explain to me why I can’t catch mid-sized fish right now? If eggs could randomly spawn in place of wood from trees, why can’t they comprise just 1/3 of mid-sized fish caught around this time?
As garish as they would be, I wish there were masculine clothing recipes for Bunny Day, if only because it feels a bit sexist that there are only dresses. Sure, I can wear them, but I don’t want to do that!
I also wish there were more recipes to collect. I’m already finished with them. Maybe it’s so people don’t have to give this optional event their full attention, or so people who get the game late can still get everything done in time for the inevitable return of the bunny overlord. Maybe I shouldn’t be approaching something like this as a gamer, by treating it as a sidequest to be completed ASAP. Still…this one was too easy. Now that I’m finished, I have little reason to get excited about finding eggs, and want to catch mid-sized fish again.
Maybe the event is just running too long. Actually, that’s probably the biggest thing. The challenge could be increased without modifying too much, if the event just ran for fewer days. That would also be fewer days where other things are displaced by eggs. Just a thought. Maybe Nintendo could make it a week next time instead of 12 days. There’s not 12 days worth of content here. For me it was 4 days worth. A week would still give a cushion of time to complete things, but wouldn’t drag on for way too long.
