The big question here is where the series heads next. Do we receive a Final Fantasy XVI with the same style of combat ideas, more action-oriented but with active time battle elements? Do we return to the classic JRPG turn-based combat of old in the vein of something like Persona 5, making turn-based combat feel action-packed without the actual action elements? Or do we receive a hybrid of the current system or a brand new take on it?”
