Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus vs OnePlus 7 Pro front on table 4

A couple of days ago, we took a deep dive into the differences between OnePlus’ Oxygen OS and Samsung’s One UI. Each offering has its pros and cons, and there are plenty of reasons why someone would like one Android skin over the other. That’s why we asked you which of the two you preferred, and the answer was clear: you like Oxygen OS more than One UI.

Check out the full survey results:

Some of your comments

OnePlus 8 Pro vs Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus front

Not everyone likes Oxygen OS more than One UI, but at 50%, the vast majority of you do. Only about 32% of you said you preferred One UI, while 16% said you like them equally. The smallest percent of you — less than 2% — said you don’t like either skin.

Everyone has their reasons for why they voted the way they did. Here were some of your comments:

DBS:
OneUI offers much more and when you add Samsung’s GoodLock to it, it blows OxygenOS out of the water.

Aldy:
OneUI is also cleaner and feels more natural. Oxygen OS is just another cheap-feeling android skins.

Piotr Fraczek:
Samsung proved so many times they have no taste at all. One UI is soooo heavy and bloatwared compared to oxygen. Swipe home on both – Samsung adds extra lag to it. And everywhere. Oxygen is buttery smooth – Samsung is like touchwiz

Tech Fan:
OxygenOS all the way.

Jerry Milton:
You wrote a thesis, when I could have told you from the get go… ONE UI sucks.

Some of these comments were quite definitive, while others were a bit more nuanced. In the end, whatever your reasons were, it doesn’t change the fact that there are people everywhere that love both skins and the handsets they come on.

Both the latest OnePlus 8 and Samsung Galaxy S20 series are commendable 2020 offers. Whichever skin you prefer, you will likely be more than satisfied with the handset it comes on. You can check out pricing for the latest and greatest handsets from each manufacturer below.
