I totally agree with you, I don’t care for Spiderman in the MCU either, I think the direction they went in was the wrong choice and even though I like Tom Holland I don’t like his films. As you said “Peter Tingles” and the MJ thing are ridiculous, especially when Zendaya in the film is awful, she’s so emotionless, like they wanted a black MJ, didn’t want the backlash so they are playing on the “well she’s not MJ she’s called Michelle”. Then you have Flash being this Latino skinny rich kid, the bullying gone completely and then Ned, Peter’s best friend being turned into this overweight Filipino guy. It just comes off trying to make the film as PC as possible to please everyone rather than sticking to the source material because none of those 3 characters are ANYTHING like the characters they are supposed to be playing.
However I’d still like to have seen Venom done properly, I just wish they didn’t do Spiderman films and made him more of a cameo in other peoples films until Tom go older.
I just hope Insomniac Games try and stick to the source material for Venom and don’t use Harry as a brand new character, I’d like to see his dad trying to cure him and this is what causes Norman to be the Green Goblin when he is infected. In a later game, this is somehow passed to Harry.
