Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker hits Disney Plus on May 4, Star Wars Day (Updated)

Update: April 27, 2020: Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker will come to Disney Plus on Monday, May 4. The movie will drop on Star Wars Day (May the fourth be with you), two months earlier than planned.


Original story: April 3, 2020: As most of the globe finds itself stuck at home right now, boredom is setting in for many. Thankfully there’s plenty to watch right now! Not only have we seen several theatrical releases come to streaming platforms early for rental or purchase, but Disney Plus also has sped up its timeline for releasing new movies to its platform, starting with Frozen 2, and more recently Onward. So we have to ask — when will Rise of Skywalker be on Disney Plus?

The answer is that it will drop on Disney Plus on Monday, May 4. That’s two months earlier than planned.

Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker is now available on all major digital streaming platforms for purchase, and it’s even available on DVD and Blu-Ray.
