Check Out Car Kings Star Beau Boeckmann’s Incredible Car Collection

Getting a docent-led tour of a museum can offer so much more insight than you might get just wandering the galleries on your own. Getting to tour a private collection led by its owner is an even more exclusive and educational experience, and that’s excactly what the Petersen Automotive Museum is offering this Sunday, May 3, when it will host a virtual tour of the Galpin Auto Sports collection led by Galpin president and star of the new show Car Kings Beau Boeckmann.

Located in Van Nuys, California, the Galpin Auto Sports museum isn’t normally open to the public. But starting at 11:00 am PST on May 3, you’ll be able to tune in to a livestream on the Petersen’s YouTube channel and see one of the most ecclectic car collections on Earth. The best part? Boeckmann himself, who owns and helped restore every car in the collection, will be leading the tour and highlighting some of his favorites. Ever heard of a four-engine Ford Mustang called the “Mach IV?” How about the Scootacar, a rare British microcar from the late ’50s? Even if you answered yes, you’ll still want to tune in for what’s bound to be an hour of great car stories.

We know Boeckmann has great stories because he tells them every week on the new show Car Kings, which you can stream now on the MotorTrend app for just $1 a month. Each episode Boeckmann and the Galpin Auto Sports crew get a new project in the garage, and whether it’s a long lost prototype, a rare barn find, or a futuristic custom build commissioned by a client, you’re guaranteed to see a unique car by the end of the show.
