PS5 and Xbox Series X Games’ File Sizes Probably Won’t Be As Massive As You Fear

That’s why Sony making Blu-ray standard was important. I got disagrees in another article. But it’s still the truth. Large capacity discs are still important. You don’t need to worry about data caps, slow internet or no internet. Bigger game worlds, better music and better movies were created from bigger storage that could hold it.

Never mind that redundant files are no longer needed. Which is great. Or slow speeds of discs. But with fast information transfer, you won’t need to keep all your games on your main SSD. Just transfer the games you play the most. While storing the rest of your games, even if they’re digital, onto an HDD that’s bigger. No one said you can’t use your HDD for storage. It just won’t be mainly useful for next gen gaming.

If file sizes do get bigger than current gen, don’t forget the importance of a high capacity disc. Not everyone in the world has great internet. Or they don’t have it or have caps. And I’ll keep saying it.
