More people are talking about Sony’s current gen support with 2 AAA blockbusters, what Sony’s controller might do, what kind of 3D sound they want, the possibility of finger tracking for VR, the hot release of TWD Saints and Sinners on PSVR, the up coming Iron Man VR, the ridiculous speed of PS5’s SSD, what type of launch games Sony will have,etc. And more people are excited about Sony and Epic’s presentation than Microsoft’s presentation.
What’s different about Microsoft’s controller besides copying Sony’s share button? No one’s talking about it. But everyone knows Microsoft will make 10 more controllers that will eventually copy Sony’s during Series X lifetime. Do you hear anyone talking about 3D sound on Series X? Nope. Are they talking about fundamentally changing the way games are made? Nope. They talk about cross gen games that will play just alike.
And when talking sales, Sony is just dominating. While Microsoft mentions service numbers because they are embarrassed to mention sales. But you know. Transparency. Microsoft doesn’t mention games sales either. Because you know. Transparency.
Only thing Microsoft is leading on is showing a box. That’s not saying much.
