What if phones were transparent like this Redmi K30 Pro?

4 Redmi K30 Pro colors

Every now and then, something new comes along in the smartphone world that makes you take a step back and wish that all phones had a particular feature or option. This transparent Redmi K30 Pro makes us wish we could get our hands on all different smartphones with translucent back panels.

Transparent Redmi K30 Pro

Xiaomi Senior Product Marketing Manager Daniel D. shared the transparent Redmi K30 Pro on Twitter, and it looks stunning.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem like this transparent phone will ever be made available to the public. It’s unlikely that we’ll ever get to play with Danny’s, as the caption accompanied his tweet said, “They’re going to have to kill me to get this custom #RedmiK30Pro out of my hands. Transparent Gameboy Color vibes.” The word “custom” is the giveaway that this phone is probably not something that’ll be released to the market.

Interestingly, the fact that this was tweeted by an official source in the marketing department could mean that company is putting feelers out there to see how the public responds to the idea of a transparent smartphone.

In the photos, you get a clear view of the guts of the phone, and it’s beautiful in a very industrial sort of way. You can see the cameras, the battery, and the wireless radios quite clearly. It’s a fascinating look, and it made us think about getting our hands on other devices such as a Samsung Galaxy S20 with a transparent back. Or what about a Google Pixel 4? How much fun would it be to pull your phone out of your pocket and see the looks it gets from people?

Redmi K30 review: Immense value in a difficult ecosystem

The Redmi K30 is a new mid-ranged device from Redmi, a sub-brand of Xiaomi. But like other Chinese smartphones, the Redmi K30 is only mid-ranged in a few key areas, while it beats high-end flagships …

Unfortunately, we can only use our imagination, since we probably won’t see too many transparent phones released anytime soon. But we can most certainly dream!
