Richard Shivdarsan of GameGrin reviews Gears Tactics on PC, writing: “The Gears of War series has had a few improvements over the years since the first game launched in 2006, but the core gameplay mechanics have stayed relatively the same. It’s always been the third-person, gore-heavy, cover-based shooter that fans adore, but now The Coalition and Splash Damage have taken all that and applied it to the X-COM formula with Gears Tactics.”
