Motorola’s Moto G line has always been popular with consumers. They’ve traditionally offered great value to users, with a streamlined Android experience and all the Google apps you might need for your daily life. But over the last couple of years, Moto has started to branch its devices into specific use cases. Today, Motorola is launching another contender, comically named the Moto G Fast. The naming scheme is a bit ironic since it is actually slower than many of its previous phones, but the focus for this device is an optimized Android experience at an affordable price. It comes stock with Android 10, and Motorola says it has optimized the experience on this device to be as streamlined as possible for the hardware it sports.
Motorola Moto G Fast
The Moto G Fast brings a fairly large 6.4-inch 720p display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor, 3GB of RAM, and a 4,000mAh battery with 10W charging. The G Fast also comes with 32GB of onboard storage, but you can expand it up to 512GB with a microSD card.
As for cameras, the Moto G Fast sports a main 16MP sensor, an 8MP wide-angle sensor, and a 2MP macro camera. There is an 8MP selfie shooter on the front of the device.
The Moto G fast will be available for $199.99 starting today, June 5, and you can pick it up at Best Buy, B&H Photo, Walmart, Amazon, and Motorola.com. You can also find the device at Boost Mobile.
Motorola Moto E
Motorola is launching an additional device beside the Moto G Fast, simply called the Moto E. Because there have been Moto E devices before this, you can think of this as a 2020 update to the series.
The Moto E has a slightly smaller 6.2-inch 720p display, with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 632, 2GB of RAM, and a 3,550mAh battery with 5W charging. The Moto E also comes with 32GB of onboard storage, expandable up to 512GB.
You’ve got one main 13MP camera on the Moto E, but you’ll also find a 2MP depth sensor camera, which allows you to take portrait mode photos. On the front, you’ll find a 5MP selfie camera.
The Moto E will be available for $149.99 starting today, June 5, and you can pick it up at Best Buy, B&H Photo, Walmart, Amazon, and Motorola.com. You can also find the device at T-Mobile, Metro, Boost Mobile, U.S. Cellular, Consumer Cellular, Xfinity Mobile, Republic Wireless, and certified prepaid on Verizon.

Before we wrap up, let’s point out one glaring omission: no NFC on either device. That means Moto G Fast and Moto E 2020 users won’t get to use contactless payments, which have become very popular in recent years. At the price Moto is asking though, it’s hard to complain.
