The POCO F2 Pro might make its way to India next month

The company is also expected to unveil its first true wireless earbuds soon.

What you need to know

  • POCO will reportedly launch a new phone in India next month.
  • It is possible that the brand’s next launch in the country will be the F2 Pro.
  • The F2 Pro made its global debut last month.

POCO introduced its first Snapdragon 865-powered flagship smartphone last month, dubbed the F2 Pro. While the brand’s first flagship was launched in India before any other market, the F2 Pro has still not been launched in the country. As per a new report from HT Tech, however, POCO may launch the F2 Pro in India sometime next month.

Speaking to the publication, POCO India General Manager C Manmohan confirmed that the brand is gearing up to launch a new phone in the country in the next 20-25 days. POCO has so far launched just two phones in the Indian market: POCO F1 and the POCO X2. While the POCO F1 was launched in August 2018, the mid-range POCO X2 debuted in the country in February this year as a rebranded Redmi K30.

In Europe, POCO F2 Pro starts at €499, making it significantly cheaper than other Snapdragon 865-powered phones like the OnePlus 8 and the Samsung Galaxy S20. We expect the phone to be aggressively priced in the Indian market as well.

Since Manmohan did not reveal any details about the phone, we cannot be sure if it is indeed the F2 Pro that the company is planning to launch in India next month. Instead of the F2 Pro, POCO might launch the rumored M2 Pro, which is expected to have similar specs to the Redmi Note 9 Pro.
