neither company will go above $499, The digital edition will be cheaper but ms may offer even a cheaper version of digital which is less powerful. Sony will have advantage as both ps5 sku’s will have same specs just one is all digital. Ms will confuse consumers with xbox one, xbox one all digital, xbox x, xbox next gen all digital and xbox series x
and i think ms will go first they will announce release date and price in july and sony will follow through at their event in august
personally speaking ps5’s cost $454(the one with the disk drive i would assume) to produce(rumor) sony could realistically sell ps5’s at $399 and $349(one with disk drive and the other digital) most of these company’s don’t make that much from hardware it would be in both sony’s and ms’s best interest if more people buy their machines and sign up for subscriptions along with software sales
i want to say both company’s will offer same prices but i know whichever goes first the other will try to undercut it that’s just business 101
