What Are the Cheapest Mercedes-Benz Models You Can Buy?

As a top-tier luxury brand, Mercedes offers some of the most luxurious vehicles on the market. From small sedans and crossovers to sporty roadsters and six-figure SUVs, the three-pointed star has a full arsenal of vehicles to battle Audi, BMW, Lexus, and Volvo. For the most part, even the cheapest Mercedes-Benz models have plenty to offer in terms of luxury and performance. Keep reading to find out more about the cheapest vehicles in the Mercedes-Benz lineup.

2020 Mercedes C-Class Coupe: $46,945

This sleek two-door looks more expensive than it really is. The small coupe starts at $46,945 and comes standard with a 2.0-liter turbo-four making 255 hp and 273 lb-ft of torque. Buyers who choose the C-Class coupe over the sedan will pay more and sacrifice a few mpgs for the sexy windswept design.

2020 Mercedes-Benz GLC: $43,495

With a starting price of $43,495, Mercedes’ compact SUV is slightly less expensive than the brand’s compact two-door coupe and slightly more expensive than its compact sedan. Along with crisp braking, the SUV benefits from strong acceleration from its standard four-cylinder engine making 255 hp. Most buyers will find the cargo bay spacious enough, though it’s less than what some competitors offer.

2020 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Sedan: $42,395

Like its coupe counterpart, the C-Class sedan has one of the most luxurious interiors in its class. Priced from $42,395, the model boasts a healthy list of standard features, including dual-zone automatic climate control, a 10.25-inch center display, and remote start capability. We’re also impressed with the model’s fuel economy. In our Real MPG test, the sedan achieved more than 40 mpg on the highway. That efficiency is impressive coming from a 255-hp engine, which helps the sedan feel sprightly off the line.

2020 Mercedes-Benz CLA: $37,645

When it was first introduced, the CLA was an inexpensive entry point into the Mercedes brand, but it suffered from a low-grade interior and a bumpy ride. Thanks to a recent redesign, the CLA is now much more refined. The 2020 model is a quiet, smooth, and comfortable four-door coupe with a luxurious interior. With the improvements come a big increase in price, however. Today, the CLA starts at $37,645.

2020 Mercedes-Benz GLB: $37,595

The GLB is the newest SUV to enter the Mercedes stable. Prices start at $37,595 for the small SUV that slots underneath the GLC and is slightly less potent, making 221 hp. Standard features include five USB-C ports, two 7.0-inch displays, dual-zone automatic climate control, and over-the-air software updates. Although a third row is available, it’s suitable only for children.

2020 Mercedes-Benz GLA: $35,245

The GLA is the smallest and cheapest Mercedes-Benz SUV, carrying a starting price of $35,245. Its four-cylinder makes only 208 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque, but that’s plenty for this cute ute. Agile handling complements the punchy engine. For 2021, the GLA will be completely redesigned with an even more powerful base engine, an updated multimedia system, and more headroom and rear seat legroom.

2020 Mercedes-Benz A-Class: $33,795

The A-Class sedan is the cheapest car in the Mercedes-Benz lineup. Prices start at $33,795, and you get a surprisingly luxurious interior for the money. The centerpiece of the cabin is Mercedes’ latest infotainment system with natural language understanding, making voice commands easy. Unfortunately, the A-Class has a somewhat rougher, noisier ride than other vehicles in the Mercedes stable. It’s also less powerful, with the base model delivering 188 hp and 221 lb-ft of torque.
