Forza Motorsport Launching With Xbox Series X

Today is a big day for Xbox fans all over the world. Microsoft teased a number of games for their next console, the Xbox Series X, including legendary titles such as Halo and Tetris, but the one we’re most interested in is, of course, Forza Motorsport. It will be the first Forza game to bear the classic Motorsport subtitle since 2017, and it already looks spectacular.

While the trailer doesn’t display the same degree of variety in cars and locations that Sony showed in its new Gran Turismo trailer a few weeks ago, what we can see is extremely rich in detail. Check out the teaser below for a stunning look and what racing-sim fans now have to look forward to.

The engine bay of a Mazda RT24-P, a BAC Mono sitting in a garage, and a slew of Apollo Intensa Emozione’s racing through the famous corkscrew at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca are all beautifully rendered. Keep in mind, all of the footage from the 59-second teaser was captured in-engine—essentially meaning the finished product will look this good, if not better, when it displays on real Xbox Series X consoles.

According to Microsoft, Xbox Series X will be the fastest and most powerful Xbox console to date, and it look like the people who work on Forza took every advantage of the beefed-up hardware. There is little doubt the new Forza will look, sound, and feel more real than ever before.

We can’t wait to get our hands on this latest iteration of the legendary Forza series, and we only have to wait a little while longer. Forza Motorsport is still in early development, but we’re hoping  it hits Xbox Series X not too long after the consoles launch.
