Now that we are comparing the size or our di… hardwa… I mean toys!! I use 4K60 65″ Sony X950G, running games at 3072×1728 (80% of 4K) via RIS / Trixx upscaling to 4K on Nitro+ 5700xt @ 1980mhz, CPU Ryzen 3100 @ 3.9ghz, both undervolted to be completely silent.
Thinking of selling the Nitro+ for RTX3080, but only if it has DLSS2.0 for ALL games without requiring developers to support it. That would be a game changer for me, and to be frank, for the industry as well. We’d get 4K60 in all games, looking better than 4K native itself. Personally I don’t need a fast CPU due to aiming at 60fps, which I think is the sweetspot for me, but I’ll consider a G-Sync 8K TV when PS5 Pro comes along. In fact, most of my games are 50-60fps, which is absolutely fine, image quality is more important to me. Will stay on AMD GPUs if DLSS2.0 stays exclusive to only certain games, RIS was the reason I bought 5700xt, and Nitro+ for it being silent. No headphones for me, invested 5K to my sound system (Dynaudio Special 40s on Stand 20s and Denon 2500NE.) But I don’t own a car which would be alone more than the entertainment system, so I’m not rich, just focused on the hobby!
Did a PS4 Pro run of Horizon main quest, still didn’t complete all of the story side quests (I think they were vaults or something), but I really enjoyed the story and the world. In the end, it became a bit empty to me, just running around and too easily beating big monsters and nothing to upgrade to, but I didn’t touch it after the game changing updates and didn’t play the expansion. Might as well get this on PC, but I do wonder if my 5700XT and Sony works in HDR10 as well as PS4 Pro.
