Another big production is back in the works, with a video from Australia’s 7News showing the set for Marvel’s Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings almost completed in Western Sydney, New South Wales.

It’s not Asia and it’s not Hollywood; it is Western Sydney, home to the newest addition of the @Marvel movie franchise. The 7NEWS chopper captured these scenes today as work resumed building the set for the upcoming production, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. #7NEWS pic.twitter.com/pvDbMyRHlb

The video shows a set built in the suburb of Prospect that includes a full Chinese-style village, including small huts, fields, gardens and a larger temple-like structure. Shang-Chi’s cast includes Simu Lu in the titular role, Awkwafina, Tony Leung, and Ronny Chieng. Casting calls for extras of Chinese descent who can play archers have been spotted around Sydney.

7News reports that all cast and crew have now arrived in the country and completed their mandatory quarantine, with filming set to resume in the next few days–over four months after it was initially halted due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

7News previously aired video of a shoot for the Marvel film that featured a helicopter against a blue screen near Fox Studios in Sydney, once the home for big blockbusters like The Matrix and the Star Wars prequels, and more recently Alien: Covenant.

Shang-Chi is currently scheduled to release on May 7, 2021, after being pushed back along with a number of other Marvel films.
