Mike T. from Link Cable Gaming writes: “A couple of weeks ago, we got to see part of what Microsoft has lined up for the new Xbox Series X console, and to be honest it was not that exciting. To say it was bad would be false, as some of the new games shown do look promising! Avowed looks like it could definitely become a household name based on what little we saw (Obsidian knows how to make a RPG after all), and you can never go wrong with the Halo series. We also got a return of the classic Fable franchise, even though it is made by a different company, and there hasnt been much talk on the direction Fable will be taken going forward. That being said, nothing really struck gold in my mind, as everything was either predictable, or just not overwhelmingly exciting. The obvious comparisons are drawn after the event to PlayStation and who had the better showing, and in my opinion its not even close.”
