The prequels regardless of their flaws provided significant universe building for the Star Wars franchise. The sequel trilogy however, instead retread things that already happened. The sequels didn’t really add much to the existing story aside from adding lore breaking elements and retelling previous plots beats.
The sequel trilogy is comparable to crappy modern-day cover of a classic song. You have heard it before. It was done better in the past with more creativity, originality, and artistic integrity.
