So what is it, hardware but with power added through the network? Is it just a lower grade console? MS screws up pretty often, but a lower grade console would f all next-gen console owners. Next-gen innovations and power that affect gameplay, Ratchet and Clank a good early example of that, would disappear from developers choice when it comes to multi-platform games. Please MS, don’t be that dumb.
If it’s an Azure powered console delivering the same experience that’s also digital only so they can keep the price lower, I would be fine with that if it doesn’t restrict any innovations afforded by the PS5 and XBXS.
Given MS’s history I’m worried. Can we also agree their naming is really bad? Xbox One X to Xbox Series X? Think that’s not confusing to consumers? And this one will be called Xbox Series S? It’s idiotic.
