- Poco has announced the launch date for the Poco X3 NFC.

The Poco X3 NFC is coming next week as the first phone equipped with Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 732G chipset. We’ve seen a bunch of teasers for the phone in the past week or so and the company has now revealed that it’ll launch globally on September 7.
Poco will also host a livestream for the Poco X3 NFC launch but hasn’t revealed details about the virtual event as of now. Check out the brand’s tweet below.
Poco’s India General Manager, C Manmohan, has also tweeted about the upcoming Poco X3 NFC announcement. “Hoping all India POCO fans enjoy what’s in the pipeline,” he wrote in his tweet, hinting that the Poco X3 will also launch in the country some time soon.
Poco X3 NFC: What to expect?
The Poco X3 NFC will be the first smartphone to run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 732G chipset. The new platform is a small upgrade to the Snapdragon 730G that powers devices like the Google Pixel 4a, Xiaomi Mi Note 10, and the Poco X2.
Elsewhere, the Poco X3 NFC is confirmed to carry a fresh design not aping any existing Redmi or Xiaomi phone. The phone is confirmed to feature a 64MP quad-camera setup. Leaked specs also point to a 120Hz refresh rate display, 5,160mAh battery, and a 20MP selfie shooter.
The price of the Poco X3 NFC is still unknown, but the X2 sold for the equivalent of under $300 in India. The X3 could also be available in the same price range, though there’s no guarantee of that.
Poco is positioning the X3 NFC to be a direct competitor to the OnePlus Nord that boasts a more powerful processor and 5G connectivity. However, a good smartphone experience depends on more than just the hardware. Take the Pixel 4a for example. The Snapdragon 730G on the Google phone feels as smooth and performs on par with (if not better at times than) the Nord with its superior Snapdragon 765G chip.
Keeping all this in mind, we’ll put the Poco X3 NFC through its paces when we get the phone for testing. Let’s see if it manages to beat the OnePlus and Google mid-rangers in our comprehensive comparisons.
