Because of this console alone, and how it will force a downgrade of Xbox exclusi….err…Micorsoft console/PC exclusives, the chasm separating Sony 1st party and MS 1st party productions will be wider and more prominent than ever.
It a matter of day we have gone from the “power of the X” to “entry level cheap console is great”. It will not affect games in the first year, but it will eventually, and far sooner than anyone thinks and it will do so for the entire generation. The effect on PS5 gamers is it will effectively hobble any multiplatform title in order to conform to the lower specs of this console.
“If I were a Microsoft fan, then the air just left your sails because that s is the target build of Microsoft’s games.”
So much truth in this remark but others will go ahead and cheer, happy to sacrifice their desires for true next gen gaming on the rocks of a hoped for but ultimately shallow and ever elusive victory.
