Newest 2021 Ram 1500 Built to Serve Edition Celebrates U.S. Air Force

Ram Trucks introduced a novel take on the limited-edition pickup earlier this year when it began rolling out its “Built to Serve” line of 1500 pickups. These special-edition trucks were to be released in batches of 1,000 to 2,000 units, with each run decorated in honor of one of the five branches of America’s armed forces. So far, we’ve seen Ram’s Built to Serve 1500 pickups celebrating the Army and Navy, and now comes the third model in the line, representing the Air Force—just in time for that service branch’s 73rd anniversary.

Landing in showrooms in the fourth quarter of this year, likely as 2021 models, the Ram 1500 Built to Serve Air Force trucks will be available in two “aeronautical” and exclusive paint colors: Anvil and Billet Silver. Ram will only make 1,000 of each. Both paint colors are paired with exclusive Technical Gray 20-inch wheels, a blacked-out grille and bumpers, black side steps, black-painted four-inch-diameter exhaust tips, and a black interior with Diesel Gray accent stitching. As with other Built to Serve trucks, the Air Force model’s seats include Velcro surfaces where owners can slap their own service patches, as well as MOLLE webbing for securing items and little U.S. flag motifs. There is a “Built to Serve” label in the instrument panel, too.

To help these special Ram 1500s serve their owners in a variety of duties, each one comes with rubber all-season floor mats, all-terrain tires, an electronic locking rear differential, hill-descent control, underbody skid plates, tow hooks, and heavy-duty off-road shocks. The whole kit can be combined with all 2021 Ram 1500 body styles and powertrains, per Ram. Pricing is forthcoming, but the whole treatment is compelling, looks rad, and shows support for our nation’s troops.
