I think the article means forfeited or lost.
I only half agree that it is over because I no longer need an xbox to play their exclusives. In terms of consoles that is a loss. The xbox console is no longer a necessity but more of a choice.
Xcloud will also allow me to play xbox games on any computer which removes the cost of building a gaming pc…that to me is a win for them for those that dont have money to spend on upgrading their rigs. Although that depends on the connection speed available.
For a newcomer the most afforable way to play xbox games is still through their console which means that havent really left the console battlefield.
