  • Samsung has announced One UI 3.0 beta availability in Korea.
  • There’s no word on wider availability just yet.

Samsung’s One UI 3.0 first debuted as a developer beta last month, giving us a good idea of what to expect from the Android skin. Now, it looks like a public beta is finally kicking off in some capacity.

TizenHelp has spotted an official announcement for One UI 3.0 beta availability on Samsung’s Korean community page. Of course, this means that the One UI 3.0 beta is limited to the brand’s home market for now.

The announcement notes that only owners of the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20 Plus, and Galaxy S20 Ultra can join the program at the moment. So those with a Galaxy Note 20 series device, Galaxy S20 FE, or other recent Samsung flagships will need to sit tight for now.

Samsung Korea also cautions that only a limited number of people will be allowed to enrol in the One UI 3.0 beta program at first, with more spots opening thereafter. To sign up for the beta, you’ll need to open the Samsung Members app and sign up via a notice within this app. Once you’ve done this, you should be able to download the beta software via the phone’s update menu.

There’s no word on when the beta program will launch in other markets, but Samsung suggested that a stable release could happen after November 2020. So even if you don’t get your hands on the beta software, the finished product could land on your phone in no time flat. Nevertheless, we’ll update the article when the beta program expands to more regions.
