  • OnePlus announced the OnePlus Buds Z, a budget-friendly pair of true wireless earbuds.
  • They support premium features like Dolby Atmos and are water-resistant.
  • The earbuds will retail for $45.99 and will be available on November 2.

OnePlus released the OnePlus Buds Z to accompany its latest smartphone, the OnePlus 8T. These true wireless earbuds are affordable, attractive, and durable too. Although the new OnePlus Buds are relatively cheap, they include premium features like water-resistance and Dolby Atmos support.

You can enjoy Dolby Atmos surround-sound audio on select media, like movies and music, with any compatible smartphone. This means movie audio will sound more engaging with the Buds Z than with non-Dolby Atmos earphones, because they emulate how sound moves around you in real life. Listeners who subscribe to premium music streaming services like Tidal can also enjoy Dolby Atmos playback with OnePlus’ affordable earbuds.

The earbuds are durable despite each bud’s 4.7-gram weight, which is even lighter than the original OnePlus Buds. These water-resistant earbuds can withstand a splash or two, so long as you don’t submerge them. A 10mm dynamic driver sits within each earbud, and OnePlus injected these earbuds with its bass boosted sound signature. This means the bass response should be plenty loud.

Battery life is impressive. In total, you’re afforded 20 hours of playback. They also support the company’s famed fast charging technology. When the earbuds are placed in the case for just 10 minutes, listeners are provided with three hours of battery life.

When and where can you get the OnePlus Buds Z?

OnePlus will begin selling the OnePlus Buds Z in white on November 2 for $45.99. The Steven Harrington edition will be available exclusively from OnePlus for $59.99, though availability is still to be announced. Amazon availability is also to be announced, but we’ll update this article with more details as soon as possible.
