Volkswagen is making considerable changes to the Arteon for 2021. Along with its reworked front end, the upscale VW features an improved interior with upgraded technology. The 2021 Volkswagen Arteon hits dealerships before the end of the year with a base price of $38,190. That’s $1,175 more than the 2020 model.

All Arteon models come standard with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that makes 268 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque. Power is routed to the front wheels through an eight-speed automatic transmission. That said, all-wheel-drive is available.

Peek inside the cabin, and you’ll see Volkswagen has redesigned the Arteon’s dashboard and added new trim details. A 10.3-inch digital gauge cluster is now standard, along with an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system that uses the brand’s latest MIB 3 interface. Other standard goodies include leatherette seats, heated front seats, three-zone automatic climate control, and two USB-C ports.

Priced from $42,790, the SEL R-Line adds a panoramic sunroof, a wireless device charger, and translucent décor with multi-color ambient interior lighting. It also gets sporty exterior design details such as a more aggressive fascia and a gloss-black rear lip spoiler. The most expensive trim is the SEL Premium R-Line, which costs $48,190 and comes standard with a massaging driver’s seat, ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, an upgraded Harman Kardon audio system, and all-wheel drive.
