The Liberator (November 11)
This series dramatizes part of the Allied invasion of Europe to defeat Nazi Germany in World War II. The difference? It portrays these events with a mix of live-action and CGI-based animation. The result gives this series a unique art style that makes it look like book illustrations that have come to life.
The Crown Season 4 (November 15)
The long-awaited fourth season of The Crown brings the story of the British royal family into the 1970s and early 1980s. Queen Elizabeth, played by Olivia Colman, has to deal with several different dramas. One is the rise of the conservative Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, played by Gillian Anderson, who leads the country into a controversial new era, as well as the Falklands War. On the other hand, the queen also has to deal with the romance, and later the massive wedding, of her son Prince Charles to Lady Diana Spencer.
Hillbilly Elegy (November 24)
Ron Howard directs this adaptation of the best-selling novel of the same name. A young man who is just about to get his job in the big city is forced to come back to his small Ohio Appalachian community. He has to deal with his highly disruptive mother, played by Amy Adams, but is also helped by his more understanding grandmother, played by Glenn Close.
The Christmas Chronicles Part 2 (November 25)
Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn return as Santa and Mrs. Claus in this sequel to Netflix’s 2018 hit holiday film. Santa brings the two children he met in the last movie to the North Pole to check out the preparations for his big Christmas Eve flight. However, a mysterious boy wants to steal the North Pole’s Christmas star, which keeps Santa’s workshop secret to the rest of the world. Can Santa, Mrs. Claus, and his kid friends keep this mysterious person from stealing Christmas?
