  • According to Android Central, the next phone in OnePlus’ Nord lineup is called the Nord SE.
  • It will reportedly include the company’s Warp Charge 65 fast charging technology.
  • OnePlus could announce the handset as early as the first quarter of 2021.

Fresh off the announcement of the Nord N10 and N100, OnePlus is reportedly already working on its latest Nord model. According to Android Central, the next mid-range phone we’ll see from the company is called the Nord SE. The phone reportedly features an OLED display and a 4,500mAh battery. But the main upgrade here is support for the company’s Warp Charge 65 fast charging technology. OnePlus introduced Warp Charge 65 with the OnePlus 8T earlier this year. The power adapter that comes with the 8T can charge its 4,500mAh battery to full in approximately 40 minutes. So you can expect similar charging times with the Nord SE, given that it too has a 4,500mAh battery.

Beyond that, Android Central didn’t have too many details to share about the Nord SE. But it did say we could see OnePlus announce the phone shortly after it does the OnePlus 9. We currently expect OnePlus to announce the OP9 sometime in and around March 2021. As with the original Nord, the website says not to expect the Nord SE to make its way to North America. OnePlus is likely to keep the SE exclusive to India and the European Union. As always, we’ll make sure to get you all the latest on OnePlus’ newest phone as soon as the information becomes available.
