A new Mega Evolution has arrived in Pokemon Go. Mega Ampharos has made its debut in Mega Raids this week, and developer Niantic is celebrating with a special Incense Day event featuring its first form, Mareep.

The Incense Day event takes place this Sunday, January 24, and runs from 11 AM to 5 PM local time. Throughout the event, Mareep will appear much more frequently when you use an Incense, and you’ll have a chance to encounter and catch Shiny Mareep. On top of that, if you evolve Flaaffy–Mareep’s evolved form–into Ampharos during the event, it’ll learn the previously Community Day-exclusive move Dragon Pulse.

Mareep isn’t the only Pokemon that will be drawn to Incense during the event. Different types of Pokemon will appear during specific hours. From 11 AM to 1 PM and 2-4 PM, the following Electric types will be attracted to Incense:

  • Pikachu
  • Magnemite
  • Voltorb
  • Chinchou
  • Plusle
  • Minun
  • Stunfisk

Then, from 1-2 PM and 4-5 PM, the following Dragon-type Pokemon and Pokemon that evolve into Dragon types will appear more frequently when you use Incense:

  • Horsea
  • Dratini
  • Trapinch
  • Vibrava
  • Swablu
  • Bagon

Finally, Niantic will be selling a special 1 PokeCoin bundle during the event. This bundle will come with three Incense, allowing you to take advantage of all the event bonuses. You can read more about the Mareep Incense Day on Pokemon Go’s official website.

In the meantime, the Hoenn Celebration event has just begun, and it features a variety of Gen 3 Pokemon, including the Legendaries Groudon and Kyogre. The game’s February Community Day, meanwhile, is scheduled for February 7 and will feature the Grass/Poison Pokemon Roselia.
