Realme Watch 2 shows up on FCC with complete specs, design details

  • The Realme Watch 2 has appeared on the FCC website with complete design and spec details.
  • It carries the same design as its predecessor but packs a bigger battery this time around.
  • Most of its features are also the same as the first Realme Watch.

Realme’s first attempt at making a smartwatch wasn’t all that successful. Yes, it was affordable, but it lacked accurate fitness tracking skills and made it very hard for us to recommend over other budget fitness trackers. Now, the company is gearing up to launch a successor.

The Realme Watch 2 has appeared in a listing on the FCC website, revealing its name, design, and features.

Unlike the Realme Watch S Pro which is a more premium device, the Realme Watch 2 retains the same 1.4-inch square display as its predecessor. In our review of the first watch, we noted that its screen was dull and hard to see in outdoor conditions. Sadly, this could also be the case with the Watch 2, but we’ll only know for sure once we test it.

Fitness tracking features on the upcoming Realme smartwatch include SpO2 monitoring, 24-hour heart rate monitoring, tracking for various workouts, sleep tracking, and a meditation mode.

You also get a battery upgrade this time around. The Realme Watch 2 houses a 305mAh cell compared to the 160mAh battery on the previous model. This should easily last you more than a week or ten days since the Realme Watch delivered its promised seven-day battery life.

Elsewhere, you get Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity and an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. There’s no word on a launch date, but it shouldn’t be too far off given the FCC listing.
