  • Samsung has confirmed the launch date of the Galaxy F62.
  • The phone will launch in India next week.
  • It’s confirmed to pack the Exynos 9825 and sport a quad-camera array at the rear.

There’s been plenty of chatter surrounding Samsung’s next Galaxy F series device. The India-centric line is now confirmed to add a new member to its ranks in the form of the Samsung Galaxy F62. Samsung announced via a Flipkart page that the Galaxy F62 will debut on February 15 at 12 IST (2 AM ET) in India.

The listing also reveals some specs and the design of the phone. In terms of the latter, it will sport a quad rear camera array arranged in a square with an LED flash module residing below. It also wears a gradient paint job per the marketing shots. Upfront, a centrally-mounted punch hole camera makes an appearance too. Have a look at the device below.

As for specs, only one detail is confirmed — the chipset. Corroborating earlier leaks, the Galaxy F62 employs the Exynos 9825. It may not be the latest silicon, but it should be a notable performance bump over the Exynos 9611 in the Galaxy F41. It’s also a feature it shares with the Galaxy Note 10 series. For the rest of the specs sheet, we can only go on leaks for now. The phone could sport a 7,000mAh battery, a 6.7-inch AMOLED display, up to 6GB of RAM, and a 64MP main rear camera.

There’s no indication of how Samsung could price this phone, but it’s likely to come in higher than the Rs 16,999 (~$231) Galaxy F41.
