Poll: Do you trust your fitness tracker’s sensor data?

April 30, 2021

Fitness trackers come in all shapes and sizes these days, and with time, many of them have started offering synonymous features thanks to improved sensors and software/AI tricks. Some of the most common sensor-based fitness tracking features include step tracking, sleep monitoring, heart rate monitoring, blood oxygen/SpO2 checks, distance tracking, and more. You can find these attributes in most modern fitness trackers and smartwatches, regardless of their price.

While there are many ways of checking if your fitness tracker’s sensor data is accurate — reading reviews is one — trust in them only builds up once you’ve used them for a while. Software updates can also make or break some tracking features over time.

This got us wondering just how much faith you have in the sensor data of your fitness trackers. Do you believe all the sensor-based fitness and workout information your tracker tracks? Or are you skeptical of the data and use it only to get an idea of what your real fitness stats might be?

Please wait.. Loading poll

We’re not asking you to vote based on the price of the fitness tracker you use. We want to know in general if you trust it or not. Take our poll above and vote for the option that best describes your experience with your wearable. Also, drop us a line in the comments section with information about which fitness trackers you’re using and what you think of the sensor data they provide.
