To me…
nothing beats the game informer with the disc of demos.
Key word, “demos”.
I will not pay any fee to play games.
You have faith in it, you release a demo.
To date… we get fluff pieces to support a rental… but if the game is worth it’s value, to date, it will not be on a “service” guaranteed.
The price to play day one is far more important is supporting developers. No service will do that.
Mask any musician on a service.
