With less demanding hardware requirements than your average Windows and MacOS machines, Chromebooks are typically some of the smallest, most portable, and least expensive options on the market — like, if you ever pay more than $1,000 for a full-featured Chromebook, you’re doing it wrong. For the uninitiated, the Chromebook 4 is an 11.6-inch machine from late 2019 that nabbed the top spot on Mashable’s list of the best sub-$300 laptops for its decently long battery life and zippy performance. The latter can be credited to an Intel Celeron Processor N4000 and 4GB of RAM, though the real star of the show is probably its built-in Google Assistant — you can verbally ask it to perform a variety of tasks, from updating your calendar to jotting down a note.
