SAVE $100: The HTC VIVE Cosmos isn’t the cheapest VR headset you can buy, but it’s still a great starting point for anyone looking to add some variety to their gaming habits. As of Aug. 18, save 14% on its $699.99 list price. You’ll pay $599.99.

VR is getting more and more popular every year in both the gaming and mainstream spaces. A lot more VR-exclusive games are coming out, they’re getting easier to set up, and most importantly, they’re becoming way more affordable.

The HTC VIVE Cosmos may not be the most budget-friendly VR headset out there — that title belongs to the Oculus Quest 2 — but at least it won’t require you to make a Facebook account to use it, and it still serves as a great starting point for VR newbies. Also, it’s on sale for $100 off at Amazon for a limited time.

The VIVE Cosmos is a wired headset that requires a PC setup, but if you’ve got that covered, you’ll be good to go. The headset comes with six different tracking cameras for an accurate, full-coverage experience in whatever you decide to play. It’s got great visual fidelity, a convenient flip-up design for when you need a breather, and plenty more perks that make it a worthwhile purchase for anyone who’s interested in VR.

Start off your VR experience on a good foot with the HTC VIVE Cosmos — it’s $100 off at Amazon for a limited time.
