Got to love Turtles in Time, Yoshi’s Island, the visuals of Donkey Kong and Star Fox on the SNES, I remember my grandmother told me if I did good in school and improved my marks I had a choice a Genesis or a SNES. I chose the SNES my old SNES surprisingly is not yellowed from the bromine I keep mine covered and bought another off of Ebay and use that to play. My SNES is dear to me as a memory of my one grandmother, my Switch and my PS4 and Wii I keep in memory of my other grandmother I was close to them. I still have the games my grandmother bought me for Xmas such as Mario Kart, Super Metroid, Mario RPG, MMX2, Chrono Trigger and Turtles in Time. I have many memories thanks to that SNES we would go to her house every other Xmas bring the SNES and rent games. My grandparents loved gambling games I even went out of my way to collect the old gambling game they would always rent. Then after the SNES ran its course and PS1 came out again we would rent games and play them. To this date I will not mod that SNES no HDMI mod no play Japanese carts mod its as stock as stock can be. Makes me wonder would I have those same cherished memories if I chose the Genesis instead of a SNES? Of course not the Genesis lacked Chrono Trigger, the visuals of Donkey Kong and Star Fox. I bought a Genesis later on in life what it lacks it also has some hidden gems in its library. I like the Genesis even with the farting noises it makes but the SNES means more to me it was my first Nintendo console I never had a NES as I grew up with an SMS. I still have my SMS had the 7805 fuse replaced, cleaned the pins, took apart and cleaned the controllers. I have good memories with my SMS but I will always cherish the memories I had with my SNES.
