Between In the Heights and The Eyes of Tammy Faye, 2021 has been a busy year for Lin-Manuel Miranda and Andrew Garfield. Now, the two team up for Miranda’s feature directorial debut tick, tick…BOOM!, an adaptation of Rent creator Jonathan Larson’s memoir musical of the same name.
Garfield stars as Jon, a young theater composer in New York City trying to write the next great American musical. As a make-or-break performance nears, the pressure mounts, and Jon reckons with the age-old question: What are we meant to do with the time that we have?
