TL;DR: As of Oct. 4, get a free Google Stadia Premiere Edition with any game purchase (or pre-order) of $60 and above. That’s an $80 value.

Google Stadia had a bit of a rough launch when it first came out in 2019. While it was undeniably an impressive concept, there were still a lot of kinks to work out.

For one thing, it seemed to be strictly meant for early adopters of cloud gaming. While most of the technical hiccups at the start were probably dealbreakers for casual gamers, people interested in test-phase tech had way more reason to pick one up — as long as they could see past the intermittent speed bumps.

Google has since rolled back their commitment to developing first-party games for Stadia themselves, but they still plan to publish titles from other developers on the platform. So, if you still want to give Stadia a try, it won’t be a total loss.

For a limited time, Google is offering free Stadia Premiere Editions with any game purchase or preorder of $60 and above (an $80 value). Just make your game purchase in the Stadia store, and you’ll receive an email redemption code to get your Premiere bundle free of charge. This offer will end on Oct. 10, so if you’re considering hopping into the world of cloud gaming, you’d better get a move on.

The idea behind Google Stadia is simple: Play your games anywhere, anytime with minimal equipment and no wait times. This is possible through game streaming — you’d normally have to download massive files that are locked to your device when playing on a console, but Stadia allows you to stream games you’ve purchased via internet connection on most of your connected devices. Want to play on your TV? Just plug in the included Chromecast. Want to switch over to your phone or tablet? Just connect to WiFi and you’re good to go. All you need is the controller and a good signal.

Now is your best chance to test out game streaming without dropping a ton of cash — get a free Google Stadia Premiere Edition when you make a game purchase of $60 and above until Oct. 10.
