The best pre-Black Friday deals on robot vacuums live as of Oct. 12:

Move over, laptops and 4K TVs: Robot vacuums are a hot Black Friday item, too.

Features like specific room targeting and automatic emptying aren’t reserved for the Roomba budget anymore. In 2021, we saw a particularly high number of new launches from brands like Ecovacs and Roborock (as well as iRobot, of course).

Whether these new models go on sale themselves or prompt serious discounts for previous releases, we expect Black Friday 2021 to be great time to buy a robot vacuum.

You don’t even have to wait until Nov. 26. Many robot vacuums are on sale as of mid-October, with retailers like Amazon, Best Buy, and Target already touting pre-holiday deals.

We’re over a month out from Black Friday, but that’s not stopping Amazon from slyly tacking a more-than-50% discount (a price cut plus an extra coupon) onto this smart hybrid. The Deebot Ozmo 920, which is still going for the full $699.99 at Ecovacs’ own website, uses laser-based mapping to target specific rooms and has sensors that dodge carpets while mopping.

If you have a bumbling robot vacuum that causes more problems than it’s worth, consider upgrading to smarter mapping and self-emptying. Samsung’s JetBot+ maps out your home with precise LiDAR navigation and comes with a compact Clean Station that holds up to a month’s worth of debris.

If you’re vacuum shopping on a budget, this basic Roborock packs serious sweeping skills for less than the cheapest Roomba. A suction level of 2000Pa beats the specs of similarly priced vacs and reliably combs carpets. Scheduled sweeps and spot cleanings can be set up through the app.
