TL;DR

  • The Poco M4 Pro has passed through the FCC.
  • The mid-range phone will launch with NFC, at least two RAM/storage options, and MIUI 12.5.
  • There’s no official word on a launch date, but we can probably expect the phone to debut shortly.

Xiaomi launched the Poco M3 Pro earlier this year, packing a mid-range MediaTek chipset and an affordable price. But its successor, the Poco M4 Pro, has now passed through the FCC.

While the listing only mentions model number 21091116AG, we can confirm that the phone is the M4 Pro, thanks to T-Mobile’s IMEI and IMEI24 databases.

Poco M4 Pro specs

We can also glean a few specs from the listing itself. For starters, the M4 Pro will sport 5G connectivity, dual-band Wi-Fi 5 support, dual-SIM slots, NFC, and support for GPS, Glonass, BDS, and Galileo positioning systems. The phone will be offered in at least two RAM/storage configs: 4GB/64GB and 6GB/128GB. Unsurprisingly, the Poco M4 Pro will also launch with MIUI 12.5.

At this point, we can’t confirm much else about the Poco M4 Pro, but we can speculate what it might feature based on its predecessor. The Poco M3 Pro landed with a 6.5-inch 90Hz LCD, a 5,000mAh battery, the MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC, and a triple rear camera setup led by a 48MP sensor. Xiaomi kept the phone’s price well below the €200 range in Europe, and we expect its successor to demand a similar premium.

There’s no word on a definite launch date just yet, but judging by the FCC listing, we could expect the M4 Pro to debut imminently.
