Elden Ring Release Date Delayed To February, Network Test Set For November

October 18, 2021

Bandai Namco has delayed the launch of From Software’s highly anticipated RPG Elden Ring. The game will now launch on February 25, 2022, a delay from January.

Explaining the delay, the developers said, “The depth & strategic freedom of the game exceeded initial expectations. Thank you for your trust & patience.” February 2022 is a very, very busy month for new releases, with games like Horizon: Forbidden West, Dying Light 2: Stay Human, The King of Fighters XV, Sifu, Destiny 2’s The Witch Queen expansion, and the Saints Row reboot all releasing that month, too.

Important message:
ELDEN RING will release on Feb 25, 2022, as the depth & strategic freedom of the game exceeded initial expectations. Thank you for your trust & patience. We look forward to seeing you experience the game in the Closed Network Test in Nov.

Those who are chosen for the beta test can take part in five different sessions, held November 12-15 for three hours each time.

Xbox boss Phil Spencer told us last year that he had already been playing Elden Ring, describing it as It’s set for release on PC, PS4, and Xbox One, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
