The Devil returns to ‘SNL’ as Jason Sudeikis takes credit for our hell world. But not QAnon.

Jason Sudeikis has a lot of beloved Saturday Night Live roles from his time as a cast member, but few are more memorable than his recurring Weekend Update guest, the Devil.

Well, the Ted Lasso star hosted the latest SNL. Given that he hasn’t graced Studio 8H with his presence since the start of the Trump era, it’s time for the Devil to get his due. Sudeikis happily owned the horrors of recent years, from Bitcoin to Tom Brady’s eternal success. He called Florida “pre-Hell.” He said a photo of himself hanging out with the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein amounts to “street cred.”

Not QAnon, though. The conspiracy wingnuts who believe that many key Democrats and other public figures are part of a Satanic, cannibalistic ring of child sex traffickers is a step too far for the Devil, who angrily calls Q believers “crazy” and “sad internet psychos.” He continues: “Don’t drag my good name into your sick fantasies.”

Sudeikis also goes on an extended and hilarious riff of taking credit for Weekend Update co-host Colin Jost marrying Scarlet Johansson.
