The 2019 iPad Air has a 10.5-inch Retina display with thinner bezels than previous generations and a fully laminated screen and wide color P3 palette to boot. While it doesn’t come with Face ID like Pro models, you do get the benefit of Touch ID, which works just as well.
It’s not going to replace your smartphone as far as its camera goes. But its seven-megapixel FaceTime HD camera is capable of recording 1080p HD video and its eight-megapixel camera with f/2.4 aperture on the back takes decent photos — and that’s something.
It is also compatible with the first-generation Apple Pencil, still has a headphone jack, is equipped with stereo speakers, and supports the Smart Keyboard.
