Save $41.69: This singing rice cooker’s appeal is more that just musical. As of Nov. 15, the Zojirushi Micom Rice Cooker is just $150.31 at Amazon. That’s 22% off its $192 list price.

Zojirushi rice cookers may have gained some internet fame because of the adorable song they play before and after cooking, but they kept it for delivering on evenly steamed and beautifully fluffy rice.

Unfortunately, the price can keep even the most ardent of rice lovers from purchasing, but with Black Friday approaching, the time to finally get your hands on one of Zojirushi’s most popular products could be soon. As of Nov. 15, the 5.5-cup Zojirushi Micom Rice Cooker is on sale for just $150.31 at Amazon.

If you’re newer to the rice cooker game, or are looking to upgrade your rice cooker for the first time, we get that this sale price might seem the slightest bit steep. First, we want to reiterate that the rice this cooker produces is truly elite. There’s a reason that every single model from this brand has only four-and-a-half to five star reviews on Amazon (this particular model has 8,000-plus reviews, btw). In our own rankings of the top rice cookers, two Zojirushi options claimed top spots.

With this Micom rice cooker, you’ll have presets for white rice, brown rice, quick rice (for when you just can’t wait), and porridge. If you want to make a full batch but not eat it all right away, there’s an extended keep warm and reheating feature (multiple Amazon reviewers did report that it kept their rice warm for days). In addition to a measuring cup, rice paddle, and paddle holder, you’ll also get a steaming basket you can use for vegetables, dumplings, fish, or whatever else you wish to steam. There’s even a cake setting if you’re in the mood.

To top it all off, the design is sleek and comes with a retractable cord for easy storage. Maybe it’s not the cheap starter rice cooker for everyone, but for anyone who regularly eats rice, we’re willing to bet this cooker has the power to make you sing right along with it.
